What these conditions apply to

Scope of Application

These conditions apply to all contracts for studio services between the studio and the client. They apply from the first non-binding inquiry through the appointment confirmation to the delivery of the material.

Deviating terms of the client only apply if the studio has expressly agreed to them in writing. For projects with their own purchasing or framework agreements, we clarify the deviations before the start of the booking so that there are no open points on the day of the shoot.

Inquiry and Conclusion of Contract

From the first inquiry to the confirmed booking

Non-binding inquiry

An inquiry via the contact form or by telephone is initially non-binding. It does not reserve an appointment and does not create any payment obligation. We check feasibility, format, and effort and get back to you with a concrete proposal.

Step 1

Confirmation in text form

A contract is concluded when the studio confirms an appointment. The confirmation is provided in text form via email and specifies the date, time, scope of services, and remuneration. Without this confirmation, there is no entitlement to a studio appointment.

Step 2

Client information

The client is obliged to provide the information required for execution in good time — such as the desired output format, planned length of the contribution, and the names of those involved. Missing information can delay the process on the day of the shoot.

Obligation

We answer questions about appointments, formats, or effort before booking. The inquiry is made via the pageContact & Booking.

Appointments and postponement

Appointments are binding. The booked slot is reserved for the duration of the agreed production — including setup, recording, and dismantling. Please plan your arrival so that the recording can start on time.

If an appointment has to be postponed, this must be communicated as early as possible. In the event of short-notice cancellations, expenses already incurred may be invoiced, provided this has been agreed in individual cases or is legally permissible. This includes, for example, reserved technical time, scheduled personnel, and setups already prepared. If the studio itself has to postpone, we will agree on a replacement date and will not charge for what did not take place.

What we need for the shooting day

Cooperation obligations of the client

The client provides the information required for the production, such as the process, target format, and number of speakers. The clearer this information is in advance, the less time is lost on the day of the shoot for queries.

They ensure that guests are informed about the recording and that the necessary consents are available. For content concerning guests, the client bears the responsibility for approval. We point out the recording verbally in the studio and document the consent, but this does not replace the client's consent.

If the client brings their own equipment or content, they inform us in advance about the format, connections, and planned use. This allows us to check in advance whether the technology is compatible and whether additional setup time is required.

Usage rights for recordings

Purpose, scope, and duration of use

The recordings may be used by the client for the agreed purposes. If further use is intended — such as additional output channels, longer publication duration, or edits — this will be agreed upon in individual cases.

The studio retains all rights to its own setups, templates, and internal processes. This includes, for example, microphone placement, the room concept, and templates for logs. These documents may not be passed on or copied for comparable setups without consent.

Raw material and mixes remain retrievable during the agreed retention period so that adjustments to pitch, loudness, or editing are possible. After the period has expired, we will check together whether recordings should be deleted or handed over.

Remuneration and payment

The remuneration is based on the respective agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due after invoicing without deduction. For projects with a longer duration, partial payments can be agreed upon.

We will indicate additional items such as material costs, travel times, or external services in advance in the confirmation. Quantities and prices are stated there before production begins; supplements only arise if the scope of the order demonstrably changes.

We will agree on the payment method, invoice address, and, if applicable, deviating payment terms in the confirmation. Invoices contain the information required in the respective country so that they can be booked correctly.

Liability

The studio is liable according to statutory provisions. The client is liable for damages caused by equipment or content provided by the client, insofar as they are at fault.

The studio assumes no liability for content that the client brings into the production. This concerns statements by guests, material used, and the legal admissibility of the publication.

We work with double-secured recordings and check the material on-site. Should a recording fail technically, we will inform you immediately and agree on a replacement date or a correction.

GDPR-compliant processing

Data protection

The parties comply with the applicable data protection regulations. If the studio processes personal data on behalf of the client, a data processing agreement will be concluded before the start. Details can be found in the privacy policy and the page on the data processing agreement.

We only process recordings with guests for the agreed production purpose. We record storage locations, access rights, and deletion periods in the data processing agreement so that both sides are on the same page.

Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. They shall be replaced by the statutory provisions.

Changes to these terms will be communicated in text form. For ongoing bookings, the version agreed upon at the time of the appointment confirmation applies.

In the event of contradictions between this version and an individual agreement, the individual agreement takes precedence. Verbal side agreements are only valid if we confirm them in writing.

Frequently asked questions about booking

Answers to the most common points

When does an inquiry become a binding booking?

Only upon confirmation in text form. The inquiry alone does not reserve an appointment. The confirmation contains the date, time, scope of services, and remuneration — this is the basis that both sides can rely on.

What happens if an appointment needs to be rescheduled?

Report the rescheduling as early as possible so that we can reassign the slot. In the case of short-notice cancellations, expenses already incurred may be charged, provided this has been agreed upon or is legally permissible. We do not charge for services that did not take place.

What are the client's obligations on the day of the shoot?

They provide the schedule, target format, and the number of speakers, take care of informing the guests, and are responsible for the approval of content. Please report your own equipment or files in advance so that we can plan the setup correctly.

How is data protection regulated for recordings with guests?

We process personal data only for the agreed production purpose. Before starting, the parties will conclude a data processing agreement if necessary. We record storage locations, access rights, and deletion periods there.

When is payment due?

Unless otherwise agreed, after invoicing and without deduction. For projects with a longer duration, partial payments can be arranged. The invoice method, billing address, and payment terms are stated in the confirmation.

What applies to questions outside of these terms?

Individual agreements take precedence. Verbal side agreements are only effective if we confirm them in writing. For open points, you can reach us viaContact & Booking.

Questions about a booking?

If a rule in these General Terms and Conditions does not fit your project, please contact us before booking. We will then agree on a suitable arrangement so that no questions remain unanswered on the day of the shoot.
